Support to grow

I have a behavioural studies degree with a major in psych, qualifications in business and employment services. I have worked in the community services sector across a range of areas and always excelled at working with services to address complex barriers for clients.

I have a lived experience as a carer and a passion for improving our states mental health system. With a range of services from counselling, support coordination and a support group, I have found a way to best harness and utilise my own ADHD as a superpower.

Nominated as one of Australia’s Adult Learners last year, the journey to get where I am has not been simple, but worth it. Hence identify with the word Resilience. I live in the beautiful picturesque North West Coast of Tasmania, but also run sessions in Brisbane CBD.

Live a rewarding life

Everyone has unique strengths, and for individuals with ADHD, discovering and harnessing those strengths can be the key to living a more fulfilling life. By focusing on what they do best, people with ADHD can turn their natural abilities into powerful tools for success. Through guided support and tailored strategies, I help you learn to manage challenges, boost productivity, and navigate your daily life with greater confidence and ease.

My approach not only helps you overcome obstacles but also empowers you to live authentically and thrive in both personal and professional settings. By embracing your ADHD and working with it, rather than against it, you can achieve goals that once seemed out of reach, building a life that is not only manageable but also deeply rewarding.

The feel wheel

One of my favourite tools of the trade is the ‘feel wheel’. The Feeling Wheel was designed by Gloria Willcox (1982) and is a great starting point for those who find it challenging to identify their emotions.

You can use the wheel for:

  • Exploring the emotions you are feeling at any given moment of the day.
  • Daily self-reflection where you identify the emotions you experienced throughout the day.
  • Exploring deeper and longer-term emotions that may be affecting you.
  • Helping you describe your experiences in greater detail.

Please note that you can experience a diverse number of emotions simultaneously, and that the wheel should not be used for avoiding emotions or replacing ‘negative’ emotions with ‘positive’ ones. Instead, the goal is to identify your emotional experience, accept it as it is, and communicate it if you wish.
